If you have not purchased a Registration Code for the current release version (a 3.0 RegCode will not install a 4.0 version), you can do so from that page.
These pages are:
IMPORTANT NOTE: It is your responsibility to save your downloaded installation file to a CDROM for safe keeping. MTU only retains the LATEST release version, not past versions.
- If You See The Message: "ERROR 7A"
-
When you get this error message, it means that your Registration code is not matching the one in our database. There are several causes for this message; 1) It has been typed in incorrectly, 2) You are trying to install a different version than the Registration Code was created for, 3) You are using a Registration Code created for a different product.
- How to Install When Your Computer is Not On-line to the Internet.
-
- Use a USB Flash Drive (Memory Stick) and follow the directions below.
- Connect the computer directly to the Internet long enough to Install the software. Make sure you don't have a Firewall blocking getting to the Internet.
- Purchase a USB Flash Drive (Memory Stick) to plug into the computer to register your software. Remove the drive after registering.
If you have a USB Flash Drive (Memory Stick), you can set it as your A:\ drive.
NOTICE! You can use the same USB Memory Stick to install all MTU programs.
Set the drive letter for your USB Flash drive as the A: drive (Windows XP or 2000 only). USB drives change the assigned drive letter when you plug them in.
- Left click the Windows Start Menu\Settings\Control Panel
- Double click on Administrative Tools
- Double click on Computer Management
- Left click on Disk Management.
- Right click on the Drive that you want to change the drive letter for and select "Change Drive Letter and Paths...".
- A dialog box appears that allows you to select the Drive to change and left click the Change Button.
- Another dialog box appears with a pull-down menu on the right hand side. Select the drive letter to A:\, then click OK.
- A message box appears: "Changing the drive letter of a volume might cause programs to no longer run. Are you sure you want to change this drive letter?" Click YES.
- Your USB Flash drive is now A:\ drive. You can use this to install the software.

- f You See The Message: "Serial Number Does Not Match Registration Information."
-
In Hoster, this can occur when upgrading versions 2.0xx or 2.2xx using the installation program Upgrade selection in version 3.108 and higher. We upgraded the software security because older versions had difficulties registering.
- Run the Installation program and select Remove (not Update)
- Restart the computer when requested
- Make sure the computer is connected to the Internet, or follow the instructions for using a USB Flash Drive
- Run the Installation program a second time
- Entering in your Original RegCode and Upgrade Code Information as needed. Follow on screen Instructions until you get to Finish.
- Reboot the computer.
- Hoster should now work correctly.
NOTE: If the Serial Number still reports a mismatch, click here to make sure that you have ALL of the Windows Updates.

- If You See This Message During Installation: "An error (-5004:OX80029c4a) has occurred while running the setup. Please Make Sure you have finished any previous setup and close other applications".
-
Search for the InstallShield folder (the default path is C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield). In the search results, select the InstallShield folder, press the delete key to delete the folder. Run the installation program again.
- If You See The Message: "Error: Dialog box during the Installation Process states "Something wrong with your registration-read note below", But Nothing Appears

This is caused by a timeout in the Internet transfer from your computer to our server. To try this again do the following:
- Click the Ok button.
- Click the Back button.
- Click Next to start the Transfer again. You may have to go through this process up to 10 times or more, during a bad connection.
- How To Install Vogone 3.XXX
-
- Find your email from MTU.com when you bought Vogone. If it does not contain the Vogone Registration Code and Email, then go to My Store Account in the MTU Store, log in, find your order, click the VIEW link at the right, scroll down to the page bottom to find your Registration Code and Registration Email.
NOTE: To get the latest version of Vogone to install, run Vogone, click the Help menu, then the Check for Updates command. If your computer is connected to the Internet, a page appears with a DOWNLOAD button. Click it and select to SAVE the file (do NOT click RUN), and select a folder on your computer where you can find this file to run it.
WARNING: SAVE THIS FILE TO A CDROM. Download links in the store last for 30 days and then disappear.
- Use the Windows Explorer program to find the Vogone3xxxsetup.exe file downloaded to your computer, or on the CDROM if you purchased that option.
If you cannot find it:
- Click the Tools menu > Find command > Find Files and Folders command.
- In the Named: field, enter Vogone3xxxsetup.exe (replace the xxxx with the actual version number you are installing)
- In the Look in: field, click the drop down list and select My Computer.
- Click the Find button.
- In the window below, double click on the filename to start installing.
- You can install Vogone under the Administrator or any User on your computer.
- Vogone installs on your C drive under the Program Files/Micro Technology Unlimited/Vogone folder. You can change this if you wish, but the manual is written for this installation folder, and MTU programs look for Vogone at this location to run it.
- Version 3.xxx requires a New Registration Code. You can get one by buying the full product OR the Upgrade if you already have bought the full product. A Vogone 2.210 or prior Registration Code will not install Version 3. When the Registration page appears during installation enter your new RegCode.
- If a prior version of Vogone is found, if the version being installed has the same first two digits (X.X), it allows upgrading without requiring Internet connection. If the first two digits are different, the prior version must be removed, then the new version can be installed by running the Installation program a SECOND time. Your Registration Code, Email, name, address, etc., and preferences such as colors, fonts, screen sizes and locations remain.
- Vogone Lite can install on the same computer with Vogone and either run.
- Read the License Agreement and click Yes if you agree. When you continue, you legally accept the terms and conditions of this agreement and are bound by them. You cannot install and use Vogone without agreeing to the License.
- In the screen that requests your name and address, enter how we can contact you. If you have installed MTU product in 2006, these fields should automatically fill in for you.
- When the Registration Email and Registration Code screen appears, enter these from your MTU Store Account for the Vogone or Vogone Lite Order, then click Next.
- If your computer is on-line to the Internet, a progress message appears while your registration data is transmitted securely over the Internet to the MTU.com web site. A dial-up connection will work for on-line USB Memory Stick registration. Error messages appear while registering if something is wrong, explaining problems so you can make a correction and continue registering.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If your computer is on-line and you see the screen to use a USB Memory Stick, a Firewall is blocking access to MTU.com. Disable the Firewall, or approve registering at MTU.com and the software will install on-line.
- If your computer is not on-line, the Install program detects this and leads you through creating a USB Memory Stick (Flash Drive) to register using a computer that is on-line.
- After you select which to use, the Install program will show the message "Take the USB Memory Stick to another computer that is connected to the Internet".
WARNING! you MUST press the Finish button in this screen before you remove the USB Memory Stick. Don't be in a hurry here or your Memory Stick will not register the software.
- Insert the USB Memory Stick into a USB port in a computer connected to the Internet. Find and double click the Runme.exe file on the drive titled "Removable Drive". It will send the registration data to MTU.com. Error messages can appear if there are any problems. You can edit both the Registration Code and Email if they are entered wrong.
- When the registration is done, a Thank You page appears. Continue to the end of the install screens and click Finish again, giving the USB Memory Sticktime to finish writing the data before you remove it from the computer.
- Take the Memory Stick back to the computer where you are installing the software and insert it in a USB slot. Start the Installation program again. It will find the Memory Stick and jump to installing the software.
- This Memory Stick can be used to install this version of the software, or free upgrades with the same X.X version number at any time. However, these cannot install this software on a different computer. Keep your Memory Stick in a safe place and identify which computer it works for. You can use the same memory stick to install other MTU programs on this same computer, once you have registered them with their own Registration Code(s).
- When "Thank You for registering" appears, click the Finish button.
- CONGRATULATIONS! Your software is installed and ready to use.
- Double click the Software icon on the Windows Desktop to run the program.
